Rideo: How to Delete Your Account

App name: Rideo

Developer: Shenzhen Rantu Technology Co., Ltd (深圳燃途科技有限公司)

Contact email: support@tooo.live

1. What this page covers

This page explains how to request deletion of your Rideo account, which data is deleted, and which data is kept for a while longer. It is based on sections 10 (Retention and deletion) and 11 (Your rights) of the Rideo Privacy Policy.

2. Delete your account in the app

  1. Open Rideo and go to "Me".
  2. Tap "Account and security".
  3. Tap "Delete account".
  4. Read the explanation page and tap "Continue".
  5. On the "First, verify it's you" page, choose a sign-in method you have linked: "Verify with Apple", "Verify with Google" or "Verify with an email code".
  6. In the "Delete your account?" box, type "Delete", then tap "Delete account".

After you submit, your account enters a 30-day waiting period (see section 4).

3. Request deletion by email

You can also email support@tooo.live from the email address linked to your account to request deletion. After we verify your identity, we will submit the deletion request for you, with the same 30-day waiting period.

If you signed in with Apple and chose Hide My Email, you may not be able to email us from the linked relay address. Please request deletion in the app first (the app will ask you to verify with Apple again). If you cannot use the app, email us and we will agree on another way to verify your identity.

We will reply within 15 days of receiving your request; if you are in South Korea, within 10 days. To protect your account, we may verify your identity first (usually by asking you to write from the email address linked to your account). If we have good reason to extend the time or decline, we will tell you the reason within that period, and how you can appeal.

4. The 30-day waiting period

After you request deletion, your account enters a 30-day waiting period. During this period you can cancel the deletion by signing in again: in the app, tap "Cancel deletion" and everything stays as it was. During the waiting period, works you have published and share links you have turned on remain public, and the app cannot "Unpublish" or "Stop sharing" during this time. If you want them taken down right away, unpublish your works and stop sharing your links in the app before you request deletion.

5. What is deleted

When the waiting period ends, our background job deletes:

  • From storage: raw track files, generated works, reduced-size photos, avatars, published public works and GPX files;
  • From the database: the account itself and all data linked to it, including activities, photo records, share links, verification-code records, sign-in identifiers and sign-in tokens, and report and block records.

Sign in with Apple authorization: If your account is linked to Sign in with Apple, we will revoke the authorization Rideo obtained from Apple when you request deletion. You can remove Google sign-in authorization yourself in your Google Account settings.

Deleted data cannot be recovered through the service. We keep your personal information in electronic form only; when we delete it, we remove the data from the database and file storage.

6. What is kept for longer

  • Backups: The database and file storage are both backed up automatically; backups are stored in the Google Cloud Tokyo region and kept for up to 30 days. Data in backups is removed together with the backup once its retention period ends.
  • Scene cache on the rendering server: cleared as described in section 9.2 of the Privacy Policy; it is not cleared immediately when the account is deleted.
  • Emails between you and us: such as the email you sent to request deletion; kept as described in section 3.1 of the Privacy Policy (kept for 3 years after the last exchange) and not deleted automatically when the account is deleted.
  • Information the law requires us to keep: kept for the legally required period.

7. Deleting only some content

You can also delete some content without deleting your account:

  • One activity: its raw track file, photos and share links are deleted. The rest of the activity's records are marked as deleted and are no longer shown to you or anyone else; they are removed completely when you delete your account. The 3D work files generated from it, and any works published from it, are not deleted along with it (unpublish published works separately).
  • 3D work files: they cannot be deleted individually in the app yet. To delete them, email support@tooo.live and we will delete them for you; they are also deleted when you delete your account.
  • You can also remove activity photos, unpublish published works and stop sharing links in the app.
